A few bloggy things:

Is there a "messiest desk" competition? I would win.
Is it me, or did April just fly by? Man.

  • I'm filling out my calendar for May, and I'm excited to get started!! (If you need a good printable calendar, Audrey at Oh So Lovely has some great ones!)
  • I made a Facebook page for my blog, but I haven't had the guts to publish it yet. Or put anything on it. Am I cool enough for this? Hmmmm.
  • I finally made a blog button. Okay, I made several because I'm so indecisive. I'm not in a place to pay for sponsorships right now (weddings are 'SPENSIVE, you guys) but is anyone interested in doing a swap? Let me know!
  • I've had this blog for about two months, and I'm already thinking about a total rebranding. It would stick with my love of confetti, and I'm thinking it would be better to do it now, when I only have 30 followers, than later, when I have a real, established identity.
  • People with a custom domain: I'm thinking of taking this route. Any advice? Anyone willing to talk me through the process? Do I keep all my GFC and Bloglovin' followers or do I have to start over?

Also, I just have to say: thanks for sticking around, you guys! This blog has been going through a lot of growing pains and switches since I started, and you guys are great. Seriously. I was worried about being able to make friends on here, but I've already met some of the greatest people!!! I'm so happy I started this blog.

I heard the custom domains were REALLY hard! That is why I am waiting... I am around the same time as you- just about two months. Also made a FB page- I published then hid it! :) I was nervous about high school frenemies etc coming across it! Ha!

I am so glad you stopped by my blog to comment because I LOVE YOUR BLOG! I don't have much to offer in terms of answers to your questions, but I've got a little: 1. I'd love to swap buttons with you! I am working out some kinks right now (I can't fit anymore ads on my sidebar and I need to fix that..haha!) 2. Custom domains aren't hard, but since I'm a Wordpress blogger and I didn't get onto Bloglovin unil after I purchased my domain, I don't have answers to your questions. I really do think GFC is going away...(I can explain why if you want to know), though...3. If you want to rebrand, do it! :) I think the confetti idea is great! 4. I don't have Facebook, but I say publish the page..it's just one more way to get your blog out there and build community.

Thanks again for stopping by and congrats on the engagement!

I wanted to say that I think you should publish the FB page. I have one for my blog and so far so good. Also, re-branding is fine. I just did it and love it. I'm in for a button swap anytime, so stop on by. :)

1. definitely publish your FB page! Making one is on my to-do list.
2. I WANNA SAWP BUTTONS!
3. REBRAND AWAY! (I'm shouting sorry about it) I'm having an AWESOME designer do mine and it isnt' expensive!! I do love your set up now but a confetti theme would be really cute!
3. Also I know nothing about custom domains
4. I'm glad we're bloggy friends!!!

I just found your blog when Stevie mentioned it! It is ADORABLE!!!!! I actually just re-branded completely. I started another blog about 2 years ago and my life has changed since then and I needed a way to make my blog more "ME." I would definitely recommend doing it now as opposed to when you get too far into this one!

I just made a facebook page for my new blog and was practically shaking when I hit the "publish" button. I never told any of my "real life" friends or even my family that I had written it, so sharing this experience with all of them has definitely been something new. My theory; if my old friends have something bad to say about me behind my back, then go ahead, they're not worth it anyway!!!

So glad I found your blog!

xx, Ashley

Definitely go for your own domain. I did this recently and it just makes things so much easier. I had a bit of an issue when I did mine but a few friends said they had no problems at all. If you run into any bumps let me know. I learned a few things along the way. For most people it's super simple though. And you keep your GFC followers. On Bloglovin you have to claim the new URL but you still have both addresses so you keep the followers. You may just want to redirect them to the new URL in Bloglovin and then eventually delete the old. But you don't have to. :)
